    Refund Policy

    🇪🇺 EU/EEA Right of Withdrawal

    Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the EU/EEA have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, this right is waived when you give explicit consent to begin the download and acknowledge the loss of your withdrawal right during checkout. If you have not yet downloaded the asset, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days by contacting support@uefnmarketplace.com.

    At UEFNMarketplace, we want every purchase to meet your expectations. Because digital assets are instantly downloadable and non-returnable by nature, refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis according to the guidelines below.

    1. Eligibility for a Refund

    You may request a refund if:

    • The asset is significantly not as described — the listing materially misrepresents the content, quality, or compatibility of the asset.
    • The asset is technically defective — the files are corrupt, incomplete, or fail to function as documented by the seller.
    • Duplicate purchase — you were charged more than once for the same asset due to a payment error.
    • Unauthorized transaction — the purchase was made without your consent (e.g. compromised account).

    2. Non-Refundable Situations

    Refunds are generally not granted when:

    • You simply changed your mind after purchasing.
    • You did not review the asset description, preview images, or compatibility information before purchase.
    • The asset works as described but does not meet your subjective expectations or personal preferences.
    • You have already used the asset in a shipped or published project.
    • The refund request is submitted more than 14 days after the purchase date (see timeframe below).

    3. Refund Request Timeframe

    Refund requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date. Requests made after this window may be denied unless exceptional circumstances apply (e.g. a defect discovered later that could not reasonably have been identified earlier).

    4. How to Request a Refund

    1. Contact the seller first. Go to the asset's page and use the Q&A section or contact the seller directly. Many issues can be resolved quickly with an update or clarification.
    2. If unresolved, contact our support team. Email support@uefnmarketplace.com or use our Contact page. Include your order ID, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence (screenshots, error logs, etc.).
    3. We review and respond. Our team will investigate the request, which may include contacting the seller, and aim to respond within 3–5 business days.

    5. Refund Process

    Approved refunds are processed as follows:

    • Refunds are issued to the original payment method (credit/debit card via Stripe).
    • Processing typically takes 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
    • Upon refund, your access to the asset (including download rights) is revoked.
    • For multi-item purchases, partial refunds may be issued for individual items while retaining access to the remaining assets.

    6. Buyer Plus Discount & Refunds

    If you received a Buyer Plus 5% discount on a purchase and subsequently request a refund, the refund amount will reflect the actual amount charged (i.e., the discounted price). The discount is not separately refunded or credited.

    7. Commission Escrow Refunds

    Commissions use an escrow system. Refund handling for commissions differs from standard asset purchases:

    • Mutual cancellation: If both the buyer and seller agree to cancel the commission before delivery, escrowed funds are returned in full to the buyer.
    • Disputed cancellation: If one party requests cancellation and the other disagrees, UEFNMarketplace will review the contract, messages, and deliverables to make a binding determination on whether a full or partial refund is appropriate.
    • Milestone-based contracts: For commissions with milestones, only the escrow for incomplete milestones may be refunded. Funds for milestones already approved and released to the seller are non-refundable.
    • Non-delivery: If a seller fails to deliver within the agreed timeframe and does not respond to communication, the buyer may request a full refund of all escrowed funds.

    8. Subscription Cancellations & Refunds

    • Monthly subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. Your subscription benefits remain active until the end of the current billing period. No pro-rata refunds are issued for unused days.
    • Annual subscriptions: Annual plans are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. You may contact support within 14 days of an annual renewal if you believe it was charged in error.
    • Downgrade: Downgrading from a paid tier to a lower tier takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining time on the higher-tier plan.

    9. Seller Earnings & Refunds

    When a refund is approved, the corresponding seller earnings and platform fee are reversed. Sellers are notified of all refund actions on their dashboard. Repeated refund-worthy complaints about a seller's assets may result in additional review under our Community Guidelines.

    10. Free Assets

    Free assets do not involve a financial transaction and are therefore not subject to this refund policy. If a free asset is defective or misleading, please report it so we can take appropriate action.

    11. Chargebacks

    We strongly encourage you to use our refund process rather than filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks incur additional fees and may result in temporary suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.

    12. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this refund policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of UEFNMarketplace after changes constitutes acceptance.
