Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules for using UEFNMarketplace. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all users — buyers, sellers, and visitors alike.
1. Permitted Use
You may use UEFNMarketplace to:
- Browse, purchase, and download digital assets for use in UEFN projects.
- List and sell original digital assets you own or have the right to distribute.
- Leave honest reviews and engage constructively with the community.
- Use purchased assets in your projects in accordance with the applicable license terms.
- Request and fulfill custom commissions through the commission marketplace.
- Promote your assets through the platform's self-service advertising system.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not upload, sell, or distribute assets that:
- Infringe intellectual property — content you do not own or have permission to distribute, including ripped game assets, copyrighted characters, or trademarked material.
- Contain malware or malicious code — files designed to harm, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
- Are misleading or fraudulent — listings that materially misrepresent the asset's content, quality, or compatibility.
- Contain prohibited material — content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or glorifies violence.
- Violate Epic Games' policies — content that breaches the Fortnite EULA, UEFN Supplemental Terms, or Epic Games' content guidelines.
3. Prohibited Behaviour
You must not:
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans, abuse promotions, or manipulate reviews.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the platform without permission.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform.
- Circumvent our payment system or facilitate off-platform transactions for marketplace assets.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through reviews, Q&A, or any other channel.
- Post fake reviews, inflate ratings, or engage in review manipulation.
- Spam users with unsolicited messages, promotions, or links.
4. Commission Marketplace Rules
The following additional rules apply to all participants in the commission marketplace:
- No fake deliveries: Sellers must not submit placeholder, incomplete, or intentionally low-quality work to trigger milestone release.
- No scope manipulation: Neither party may unilaterally alter the agreed scope, price, or timeline after escrow is funded without mutual consent.
- No proposal spam: Sellers must not submit generic or irrelevant proposals to commission requests. Proposals must demonstrate understanding of the buyer's requirements.
- No self-commissioning: You may not create a request and accept your own proposal to manipulate reviews, earnings, or platform metrics.
- Communication: Both parties must maintain reasonable responsiveness within the contract workspace. Unexplained inactivity exceeding 7 days may be treated as abandonment.
5. Advertising Rules
All promoted/sponsored content must:
- Accurately represent the asset being advertised — ad creatives must not be misleading or use unrelated imagery.
- Comply with all content rules in this policy and our Seller Guidelines.
- Not promote assets that are under review, suspended, or previously rejected.
- Not use deceptive tactics such as fake urgency, fabricated scarcity, or misleading discount claims.
6. Free Asset & Promotion Abuse
You must not:
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent the daily free asset claim limit (15/day for free-tier users).
- Use automated tools or scripts to bulk-claim free assets.
- Create or use multiple accounts to stack coupons, referral bonuses, or promotional discounts.
- Share, sell, or publicly distribute coupon codes that were issued for individual use.
7. Seller-Specific Rules
- You must have legal rights to all content you sell (see our Seller Guidelines).
- Asset descriptions must be accurate, complete, and not misleading.
- Pricing must be fair and not artificially inflated for the purpose of showing discounted "sale" prices.
- You must respond to legitimate buyer questions and support requests in a timely manner.
8. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behaviour that violates this policy, please report it. You can also reach our team at abuse@uefnmarketplace.com. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
9. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions, at our discretion:
- Content removal or delisting
- Written warning
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account ban
- Withholding of seller earnings related to policy-violating content
- Forfeiture of escrowed commission funds in cases of confirmed fraud
- Reporting to law enforcement where required by law
The severity of enforcement depends on the nature, frequency, and impact of the violation. Repeated or serious offences will result in escalating consequences.
10. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting appeals@uefnmarketplace.com within 14 days of the action. Include your username, the action taken, and your reasoning. We aim to respond to appeals within 5 business days.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform. Continued use of UEFNMarketplace after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
